Scheduled patron update

Select Back Office > Update Patrons > Schedule

The Scheduled Patron Update feature lets you define and schedule a process to update your patron records. You have the option to select a .csv file from a local disk on the Destiny application server or from a remote secure FTP (SFTP) site.

important You must be a district-level user to set up a scheduled patron update.

Before you begin

Before you begin to set up a scheduled patron update, you need:

• The name and location of the .csv file containing your patron data (on the Destiny application server or the SFTP server). For details on the .csv file, click here.
  
• The character encoding of the .csv file.
• To know the frequency and the days that your district administration creates the patron data file to be used in Destiny.
• The properties file that the Patron Import Converter creates.
  
  

  note You can run the Patron Import Converter in Windows and in MAC OS X with Java 1.6.
  Also, if you have multiple patron files, such as one for students, one for faculty, and one for staff, you must set up a scheduled patron update for each set of patron files.
