Ceiling Date (Media Manager)

You can configure a ceiling date to ensure materials are not booked beyond a specific date. The ceiling date is not affected by the Library Policies ceiling date.

If the ceiling date comes first chronologically, it overrides an item's due date.

example You might set a ceiling date so all items are due by the last day of the school year. Destiny automatically increments the year but not the month or day, so you need to verify the ceiling date each year.

To configure a ceiling date

1. Select Back Office > Site Configuration > Circulation.
2. Select the Enable ceiling date checkbox.
3. Type the ceiling date in the field.
4. Click Save.

note When booking materials, patrons and staff members cannot select a date that is after the ceiling date.
