Remote circulation is a method of performing circulation tasks remotely (apart from Destiny®). You can perform remote circulation using a Follett Device with Follett Remote installed, or on a computer with Follett Remote installed. To get Follett Remote, click the link for the type of computer you have:

important In Follett Destiny® Library Manager and Follett Destiny® Textbook Manager, you can only mark copies lost and manage fines and holds online, not offline or remotely.

example You take a cart of books to a classroom for students to check out resources. If the students decide to check out some resources that you have on the cart, you can check them out offline and when you get back to the library, you can upload the checkouts to Destiny.

Before you begin performing a remote circulation

You must have:

  • a Follett device with Follett Remote installed.
  • a workstation with Follett Remote installed.
  • circulation commands sheets for library and textbook.
  • read the guide of the Follett device you are using to perform the remote circulation.
  • Microsoft ActiveSync downloaded (setup.msi).
  • Patron barcode labels report printed out (this includes teachers).
