One Search™ Resource List

With a One Search Resource List, you can collect links to online resources that interest you, and view the content anytime. The list can help you when you are researching a subject or preparing a classroom project or report. You can also print out an MLA-formatted Citation List of these resources.

If it is a Public List, you can click the links to view the content or print out the information.

To add online resources to your List

To add an online resource to your List, click Add to this List on the One Search tab of any Search Results list.

To remove online resources from a List

To remove an online resource from your List, click Remove next to the resource, or, to empty the list, click Remove all at the bottom of the list.

Citations

A citation is a brief description of the source of the information you are gathering.

If you need to cite the resources you use when doing homework or researching a paper, Destiny® can help. When you add an online resource to your List, Destiny automatically creates an MLA citation using information from the resource. These citations make up the Citation List that you can print.
If some of the citations are not as accurate or as complete as you would like, click Citation next to the resource to update the information.

To print the list or a Citation List

If you want to print a List, you have two choices:

• If you want a printout of the information in the Resource List, use the Printable option. It includes the title, a summary of its information, the URL, and the name of the database.
  To print this information, click Printable at the top of the page.
• If you need an MLA-formatted Citation List:
  1. At the bottom of the Resource List, highlight Citation List next to Create.
  2. Type in a name for the citation list.
  3. Click Go!.

Either list opens in a new browser window. To print the list, use your browser's Print option.

To save a List

If you logged in, Destiny saves all the tabs of your Resource List for you, even if you log out.
You can also save your One Search List as a text file. From the I want to list, select Save as text and then click Go!.

If you did not log in, you will need to print it out.

To email a List

If you need access to the information in your List outside of Destiny, you can email your One Search List: From the I want to list, select Email this List, and then click Go!.

To create another Resource List

At times, you may want or need more than one List. For example, you may want one for the online resources you are using for a research paper and another for personal use.
If Add list appears on the Resource Lists page or on a selected List page, you can add a new List.
