Prepare your Dolphin

For either Offline Circulation or Inventory in Destiny®, you can use a PHD Dolphin+ to collect and store the scans. Then, you'll transfer the scans to your workstation and upload them to Destiny for processing.

Before using a PHD Dolphin+ for the first time, you’ll need to prepare both your workstation and the PHD Dolphin+.

When moving to Destiny, you'll need to perform the following tasks:

• Install the Dolphin drivers on your workstation.
• Install the Dolphin File Transfer utility on your workstation.
  The Dolphin File Transfer utility is a program that transfers the scan files from the Dolphin to the workstation.
  

All these components must be in place before you can begin scanning.

Once your dolphin is prepared, you can scan barcodes, transfer the barcode numbers from the Dolphin to your workstation, and upload the barcode numbers to Destiny.
