Update call number patterns

If you are importing copies that contain call numbers (852_k, _h, _i, _m), you can assign Circulation Types to those copies based on their call numbers, instead of selecting one particular Circulation Type.
If you choose to assign the Circulation Type Based on Call Number, Destiny® assigns a Circulation Type based on their call number patterns.

To have Destiny assign the correct Circulation Types, you need associate (map) the call numbers with your Circulation Types.

A call number pattern consists of a call number, or a range of call numbers, that start with the same letters and/or numbers.

To create or update call number patterns

To associate a Circulation Type with a call number pattern, enter the beginning letter(s) or number(s) of those call numbers in one or more Pattern fields and click Save.

If you need more than five patterns for a Circulation Type, click Add Pattern.

If you enter The call number range can include
FIC FIC, FIC CRI, FIC SEU
1 1, 12, 123
REF 800 REF 810.45, REF 896.7

For example, if you enter FIC, all call numbers starting with FIC make up the call number pattern.
If you enter FIC SEU instead, only call numbers starting with FIC SEU make up the call number pattern.

To view a list of all your call number patterns, open Import Titles in the Catalog and click Update adjacent to Circulation Type under Assign Copy Information.
