Generate a report on Patron StatisticsThe Patron Statistics - Summary lets you examine the circulation statistics of your patrons for the current day, month, and year, and the totals since you installed Destiny®. Clicking an entry in the Patrons (left-most) column displays a detail view of patrons (in alphabetical order) and their individual statistics. For district patrons managers, clicking an entry in the Patrons column displays a list of the schools. You can then group them by type, or include schools that have no circulation statistics by selecting one or both check boxes at the top.
You can limit the report to certain patrons by customizing the summary. How do I customize the report?Initially, the report shows the patrons grouped by Patron Type. You can change the grouping and limit the patrons that are included:
Any patrons who do not have information in the Group by field appear under the heading Other. How does Destiny calculate the statistics?Destiny calculates the statistics differently depending on your view (summary vs. detail) and your role (school users vs. district users). As a school patrons manager, the summary view includes counts for all patrons associated with your school, grouped by the Patron Type they are assigned to at your school. Clicking on each patron type displays a detail list of patrons of that Patron Type. All circulations (local and offsite) are counted in both the summary and detail views. If you are a district patrons manager, the summary displays counts for patrons grouped by the Patron Type they are assigned to at their primary site. The summary displays circulation counts only for the patrons' primary site. Clicking on a Patron Type displays a list of schools that use that Patron Type. Clicking on a school in this list displays a detail view of all patrons associated with the school (primary or not). The detail view displays circulation counts for all the patron's checkouts and renewals. Note Because the summary and detail views at the district differ in the way they handle patron associations, their circulation counts may differ. For libraries and district media centers, in-district interlibrary circulations are included. Destiny includes only statistics for those patrons that are currently in the database. When patrons are deleted, their circulation statistics are also deleted. What do the numbers in the columns represent? In the Patrons column, the number is the total number of patrons in that group.
The total number of all circulations for the period is at the bottom of the column. Note If you converted from Circulation Plus, the Total includes the number of circulations since you installed Circulation Plus. Depending on when you converted, This Year may also include circulations made in Circulation Plus. How can I use this report? The Patron Statistics - Summary can provide information for several purposes:
