Check out textbooks to teacher

Checking out textbooks to a teacher allows you to check out the textbooks directly to the teacher with or without specifying a particular class.

Note: When checking out to an active patron, if a message about licensing appears, you do not have the correct site licensing according to your agreement.

Important: You can only check out textbooks by ISBN on the To Patron tab.

To checkout textbooks to teacher

important The teacher's patron record must have the Currently Teaching Yes checkbox selected.

If you are not on the Check Out Text page, then follow the steps in the blue title bar.
Deselect the Only search checkbox.
To complete the task for active patrons, select the Only Active Patrons checkbox.
Make sure the cursor is in the Find field. Scan the teacher barcode. The teacher information appears in the Check Out Text page.
Use the Class drop-down to select a class.
Make sure the cursor is in the Find field. Scan all the applicable textbook barcode(s). The Checked Out section reflects the textbook(s) checked out.

note When the above steps are complete, the teacher can then reassign the books to the students in the class.
